VIDEO PREMIERE: New York jazz-pop band tubafresh gets groovy in playful "Casper Connect"

New York-based jazz-pop band tubafresh (all lower case) was only formed in late 2016, but they are already making waves. Led by sousaphonist Chanell Crichlow, the band's latest song “Casper Connect” is a playful instrumental carried by a persistent wave of synth melody, percussion, and horns. The video for the upbeat jam follows the band's performance under a technicolor matte that gives the visuals just as much life as the music.

"Casper Connect is about letting go of all the guilt, the expectations of being an artist, of being a woman, of being a queer black kid of a single mom," says Crichlow. "It’s about taking all that pressure, releasing it and creating your own images of empowerment."

"Casper Connect" is the first track off the band's debut EP, anticipated for release in December 2017. Check out the video below!:
