FEATURE: Jaden Smith continues to defy the gender binary, models womenswear for Louis Vuitton S/S16

True to form, Jaden Smith is pushing gender boundaries, this time as the face of Louis Vuitton's Summer/Spring 2016 womenswear collection. In the ad campaign, which was recently revealed by LV's creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere, Smith appears in so-called women's clothing—including a skirt. While womenswear on men isn't exactly groundbreaking, what is worth noticing is the fact that Smith appears next to the female models, not as an anomaly, but as a fellow wearer of women's clothing

Smith is no stranger to skirt-wearing and challenging the gender binary restrictions placed on the fashion industry: “Went To TopShop To Buy Some Girl Clothes, I Mean ‘Clothes," he wrote on an Instagram post of himself sporting a tunic dress.

Check Jaden out in some campaign previews below.

I don't see why in this day and age men cannot wear women's clothes and vice versa. It's clearly silly.

The funniest part is that when you do, it's seen as a major social transgression. People will react to it like you have committed some sort of crime, so apparently fashion is not important it's just this frivolous activity you engage in, which cannot be compared to voting for a political party or discussing the economy, yet people's reaction to it is as strong as when you claim to be a communist or a republican. Weird...
