Comedian Louis C.K. is promoting a new documentary called Check It, which follows a group of LGBTQ youth in Washington, D.C. who banded together to protect each other from hate-based violence and harassment. In hosting the film on his website, C.K. states in the latest trailer that he hopes that the groundbreaking film can garner a wider reach:

The project originally premiered at Tribeca Film Festival last year, and we also screened it before AFROPUNK London 2016. The film was directed by Dana Flor and Toby Oppenheimer, and executive produced by actor Steve Buscemi.

yeah I was pretty surprised to see Louis CK's name next to a photo of a black person.  the first & last time I watched his stand up he did this skit about how he constantly says the N word In his inner dialogue.  this guy is totally cashing in on black culture

I understand that this film is necessary. However Louis C.K repeatedly uses racial slurs including the N word in a lot of his stand-up comedy. Are we supposed to sweep it under the rug and rejoice because he is promoting this? This is just another example of white guilt trying to cash in on black culture and black gay culture.
