Santigold shared the cover art of her upcoming album with The New York Times, and it doesn't disappoint. "Dirty Nights" was written at the end of the summer 1) because we needed a new fast tune for our live show and, 2) to be released a single.

"Tell your ex to get off my dick!" Maybe I'm a little twisted but I think that's kind of romantic. Electro-maestro and dancing king Gordon Voidwell gives us his Whitney salute with the new video "XO Boyfriend". Some would say it's more of an homage, some would say it's close to being a frame-by-frame of Houston's "How Will I Know". Sure, the video is all those things, but…Continue

We talk a lot about the artists behind the microphone. But for every word written about the artists working on one side of the recording studio, tragically few words are written about the artists on the other side of the sound-proof glass. In his 40 year career, Nile Rodgers has worked with everyone from Bowie to Madonna, from Sister Sledge to Master Chief. His music unwittingly formed the backbone of hip-hop with the Sugar Hill Gang basing their breakthrough Rapper's…Continue

The death of Whitney Houston has hit me kind of hard. I cannot even find the words to express the emotions. My heart goes out to the family.
I was born and raised in Newark, Nj. I grew up singing Whitney Houston songs at various contests including the peppermint lounge in east orange, nj.
Whitney Houston is the MAJOR reason why I'm a vocalist today.
I truly hope she has found the peace in death that she struggled so much for in life.
I will always Love…Continue

"On Feb. 14, FRONTLINE presents the television premiere of the award-winning documentary The Interrupters, the moving story of three dedicated “violence interrupters”—Ameena Matthews, Cobe Williams and Eddie Bocanegra—who, with bravado, humility and…Continue
