About Me
I'm a jack of all trades, and a master of at least a few. I blog every now and then (in fact, I am an occasional contributor to both Afropunk and IHeartNoise, write songs in various genres (my forte are antifolk, experimental pop, and electronica), make beats on occasion, edit videos as a hobby, write poetry, stories, blogs (as you will see here on Afropunk), etc. I'm a firm believer. The two projects I have going are Charcoal Sketches of the Invisible Man and blank videotapes. One is a mainly keyboard-heavy project, and the other is more beatsy, instrumental and electronic.

Some of my music can be found on
Website :
Working at Home Depot, but hoping to jumpstart (pardon the pun) my career in musicmaking. Like I said, I make beats, play keyboard, write lyrics, and sing all by my lonesome. So, if anyone needs some kind of assistance, don't hesitate to hit me up!
Favorite bands:
Bands and Artists: Busdriver, Subtitle, Clinic, Liars, Chemical Brothers, Mogwai, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Tim Fite, eels, Chevelle, The Dears, Beastie Boys, Doves, Flaming Lips, Four Tet, Ima Robot, Okay, Animal Nation, etc. I'm a self-proclaimed music junkie, so that list might grow in time.
Favorite movies:
Stranger Than Fiction, Velvet Goldmine, Bebe's Kids, The Brothers, Little Manhattan, Shortbus, Run Fatboy Run, Freaknik: The Musical, The Wood, etc.
Favorite books:
Blanket Knowledge by Peter Payack, Things the Grandchildren Should Know by Mark Oliver Everett, Songs in the Key of Z...
Favorite Magazines:
PsychologyToday (or Scientific American Mind), Performer, (occasionally) The Noise Boston
Favorite TV shows:
Dexter's Laboratory, Black Jesus, black-ish, Everybody Hates Chris, The Big Bang Theory, 1 Girl 5 Gays, The Inbetweeners, The Wayans Bros, Coupling, etc.
Relationship status:
Swiped like a valuable painting!
Pansexual, No answer
no/ no
Question For Bands: Genre?
Bedroom pop, indietronica, lo-fi, antifolk...take your pick
Band Question - Band Members:
Just me, myself, and I...for now.
Band Question - Sounds like:
All of the samples in the music section are works of mine from the past and the present, so you can listen and make your own thoughts. To give you a rough idea of the music I make now, imagine the possibility of turning keyboards into a folk instrument.
Band Question - Musical Influences:
These days the music I make is influenced by my experiences in life, but musically, I'd say Grandaddy, eels, Tim Fite, Spiritualized, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, anything with a DIY sound involving piano, keyboards, guitars, and laptop production.
Band Question - Record label:

If Punk Does "Come Back", Who Will Really Be to Blame?

Posted on January 12, 2017 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

So, I'm recently thinking about Amanda Palmer's idea that what will be borne out of Trump's presidency will be some great punk albums. Amanda wasn't the first to suggest this, as Marilyn Manson did back in the years of Bush. Many people consistently threw this idea back in her face, including theneedledrop's Fuckthony Thattano. His…

Ujima: We All Dive WIth the Ship

Posted on December 29, 2016 at 1:00pm 0 Comments

On a rickety boat towards the promised land, each mate was specifically trained to look out for opposing pirates and to be responsible for the health of their own mate's doing. One day, a mate, possibly influenced by a pirate of the opposing sea, decides to commit mutiny on their own people. Only he supposedly doesn't know it is mutiny. Soon enough, all of his constant fuckups will lead to the destruction on the ship before we even got halfway to our destination. We all go down with the…

Kujichagulia: Our Fear of Truly Standing Out

Posted on December 27, 2016 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

It's funny that this day has to come because what crossed my mind last night was this need for some black people to have a hive mentality.

To celebrate the first day of Kwanzaa, I watched some music vids by black artists in various genres from Jazz to R&B to rock. I then came across three vids where people were feeling general discomfort about being told they aren't black enough because they listen to rock, metal, anything besides hip-hop and R&B.

This made me…
